WILLEMSTAD – International fashion retailer Zara will open a large flagship store at Sambil Shopping Mall in September, marking a major expansion of the mall’s retail offering. The new store will cover approximately 4,000 square meters and will be located on the far end of the food court, directly opposite Aldo and Victoria’s Secret.

According to Sambil, the store will not be an outlet featuring older collections, but a full-scale flagship location offering Zara’s latest fashion lines. The store will be equipped with modern retail features, including self-checkout counters, in line with the brand’s global store concept.
The Venezuelan Cohen family, owners of Sambil Shopping Mall, described the arrival of Zara as “a long-cherished dream coming true.” The announcement was made public during a large press presentation held by Sambil on Wednesday.
In addition to Zara, Sambil also revealed plans for further expansion within the mall. A new Victoria’s Secret concept store is scheduled to open in May. Unlike the existing format, the new store will offer not only accessories, but also lingerie, further strengthening the mall’s position as a leading shopping destination on the island.
With the arrival of internationally renowned brands such as Zara and the expansion of Victoria’s Secret, Sambil continues to position itself as a key hub for retail and lifestyle experiences in Curaçao.
