WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch naval vessel Zr.Ms. Friesland intercepted a second and a third drug transport in a short time. The ship has now detained four ships and seized drugs in a month and a half.
The second and third ships were discovered by maritime patrol aircraft of the Caribbean Coast Guard and the United States Coast Guard. All packages have been seized and the people on board the boats have been arrested.
About 500 kilograms of drugs were seized during the first interception. Three days later, 350 kilograms of drugs were found and taken during the second interception. In total, the Zr.Ms. Friesland now intercepted 1075 kilograms of drugs.
