WILLEMSTAD - The organization of the KLM Curaçao Marathon expects 2,000 participants from 34 countries on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November. Sixty percent of them come from Curaçao, the remaining forty percent come to the island especially for the KLM Curaçao Marathon.
Start and finish in this eighth edition are the Corendon and Hilton Hotel.
The event has four distances: the Full Marathon, the Half Marathon, and the ten and five kilometer walk or run. This year's five-kilometer version will also cross the 'swinging Old lady'. Just like the other distances. The ten kilometers, the full and half marathon also go over the Queen Juliana Bridge and the Queen Wilhelmina Bridge.
Participants receive a starting ticket with online time registration, a free event T-shirt and each participant receives the unique medal. There are still 400 starting tickets available.

On Friday afternoon, Kees van Muiswinkel, organizer of the KLM Curaçao Marathon presented Minister Sithree van Heydoorn with the first KLM Curaçao Marathon Medal as a thank you for the support of the country of Curaçao, also on behalf of the participants, sponsors, partners and volunteers.
At the finish, every participant will receive this specially designed medal, gold-colored design with the Juliana Bridge and tropical elements with ribbon printed on both sides.
