WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2065 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 262 of them were positive. 1534 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 8625.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 15 imported cases. After more investigation, it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 49 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 16 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 4 people have died, 3 in the hospital and 1 at home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 215.
