WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1550 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 72 of them were positive. 94 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1116.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 9 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 3 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 10 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 7 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 patient has died in a nursing home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 254.
