WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1742 people who were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 76 of them resulted positive. 3 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 405.
According to the epidemiology department, the 2 biggest clusters until now have a minimum of 52 cases and the other cluster has 60 cases.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) remains the same: 2 people are in the hospital. No COVID-related cases are in the ICU.
Meanwhile, the Delta variant has been detected in Curaçao as was suspected. This was determined through samples from 2 weeks ago.
