WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1522 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 93 of them were positive. 485 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 2126.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 11 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 1 case was registered incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 42 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 12 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 patient has died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 228.
