WILLEMSTAD - The trade union for prison guards, ABVO calls the situation in the Curaçao prison SDKK "alarming and dangerous".
A few days ago, Venezuelan prisoners revolted in which a guard had to release warning shots. According to the union, a lot of violence was used.
There are 67 Venezuelans in prison, many of whom have a military background, according to the personnel union. The revolt was prompted by a conflict between Venezuelan and Curaçao prisoners.
