Alcalá-Wallé before judge for violation of screening law and forgery

Main news | By Correspondent February 18, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Former minister of education Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé will be in court next Friday for the substantive treatment of the criminal case against her. This is evident from the information provided by the Common Court of Justice on their website.

Alcalá-Wallé is suspected of violation of the screening law and forgery of documents. At the time, the candidate minister for the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport would have concealed her ancillary positions as chairman of her foundation and owner of a company.

Alcalá-Wallé would not have disclosed information about various bank accounts either.

Alcalá-Wallé resigned after Elvis de Andrade's of the UP party filed a complaint against her. The former minister said at the time she had not acted in violation of the screening law.
