Also in the Caribbean part Kingdom new vaccination round

Main news | By Correspondent July 29, 2022

THE HAGUE - All people over 12 in the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom are eligible for a repeat injection against the COVID-19 virus from mid-September. The Dutch Minister of Health Ernst Kuipers announced this today.

The decision follows the advice of the Outbreak Management Team (OMT) to organize a new vaccination round for the population of the entire Kingdom.

Minister Kuipers indicated in his letter that in the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba) and the countries within the Kingdom (Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten) the same approach applies as in the Netherlands. Just like European Netherlands, the CAS countries and Bonaire will start the autumn round with the flu shot group.

Given the population on Saba and Sint Eustatius, the phased approach used in the European Netherlands and on the larger islands is not desirable. That is why a campaign will be started for these islands in which the entire population from the age of 12 (on condition of registration by European Medicines Agency) will be offered a COVID-19 repeat shot, as was previously done.
