America tightens travel advice for Curaçao

Main news | By Correspondent January 11, 2022

WASHINGTON, WILLEMSTAD - America has tightened up the travel advice for Curaçao. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has placed the island on the list of high-risk countries and advises against traveling to Curaçao.

“Due to the current situation in Curaçao, even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk of becoming infected with Covid-19,” the organization writes in the advice. According to the CDC, all travelers must present a negative viral test upon return to the United States, no later than one day prior to departure.

In addition, it is mandatory to have an antigen test taken in the three to five days after arrival in the US. There is an exception for people who have recovered from the virus within 90 days before the trip. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must be quarantined for five days.
