Art for CliniClowns, art with a smile!

Main news | By Press release September 13, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - CliniClowns Curaçao is exhibiting for the first time all works that have been made especially for the foundation in the past 10 years by various artists. These works of art have been reproduced on the well-known and beloved shopping bags from CliniClowns.

At the beginning of this year, the 7th edition of this 'fundraising art bag' was presented with an illustration by Sander van Beusekom. The bag can be produced by various sponsors, so that the proceeds fully benefit the work of CliniClowns Curaçao. Due to the pandemic, the foundation has been looking for other contact and visibility moments. Where previously information was given and donors were recruited in various places on the island, this has not been possible for some time now. The artworks, and the bags produced with them, can be seen throughout September in the Van Den Tweel Café in Zeelandia. On September 25 from 9-13 o'clock the foundation will be present to answer questions and to register any new donors.

The CliniClowns Curaçao Foundation provides distraction and fun for ill children and children with a physical or mental disability, and for people with dementia. Through improvisation, play and music, the clowns focus on the person behind the illness or disability and create moments of happiness that make someone feel emotionally stronger again. The clowns are trained professionals and visits to the institutions are free. This is only possible through community donations.

You can support CliniClowns by, for example, buying a bag or becoming a donor.
