WILLEMSTAD - BearingPoint looks forward to the investigation by the Stichting Overheidsaccountantsbureau (SOAB), the government accountant bureau into the tendering and implementation of the ICT system of the Curaçao Tax Authorities with confidence. The Minister of Finance, Javier Silvania, requested the investigation.
Silvania expressed concerns about the software provided by the company and announced an investigation. According to the organization, the investigation contributes to transparency. “We are convinced of the quality of our products and services provided,” said BearingPoint. The organization will cooperate with the investigation. The official announcement and the findings of the investigation will not be made public.
The software is mainly developed in Curaçao. “We expect the use of the software to grow in the coming years,” said the BearingPoint.
