WILLEMSTAD - Emmilou Capriles was sworn in as a Member of Parliament this afternoon by Governor Lucille George-Wout. This will bring an end to the protracted deadlock in Parliament.
This morning, the governor asked the electoral council to prepare the documents for Emmiliou Capriles to join parliament. These have now been approved, allowing Capriles to join parliament for the next 2.5 months.
The coalition can again count on their small majority in parliament.
