WILLEMSTAD - Churandy Martina wants to participate in the Summer Olympics in 2024. The athlete announced to BEAU on Wednesday that he does not plan to end his career any time soon.
"Paris is close by, so I'm going to do my best to participate," said Martina. “It's getting harder, but I can still do it. I'm still itching to keep going, so I'm going to do my best."
The 37-year-old Martin is forty years old when the Games start in Paris, but feels fit. “The training sessions are going very well. After a few years I was finally able to run in the month of January again without injuries. I'm in very good shape.”
The Summer Games in 2024 would be the sixth Olympic Games in which Martina participates.
