WILLEMSTAD - Cicely van der Dijs may have to go to SDKK on Monday to serve her prison sentence. This is according to sources, who are well informed in judicial matters.
In 2017, in the Babel case, Van der Dijs was sentenced on appeal to fifteen months in prison, with deductions, of which six months were suspended. That judgment was later confirmed by the Supreme Court.

Integrity
The ex-wife of former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte and her husband were guilty of money laundering and the possession of phone jammers.
By giving a legal appearance to large sums of money from crime, together with Schotte, she had violated the integrity and transparency of financial and economic transactions, the judge ruled at the time.
Gerrit Schotte was sentenced to three years in prison in the same process, which he has now served.
Summary proceedings
She recently instituted summary proceedings to prevent her from having to serve her prison sentence. But that was rejected this week.
The SDKK is not yet aware of the date, but urgent consultations are currently underway. Presumably the arrival of Cicely van der Dijs will then be confirmed.
