COVID-19 Update: “12 new cases announced on October 2, 2020”

WILLEMSTAD - The government of Curaçao reported 12 new COVID-19 cases on October 2, 2020. This is the result after 177 people were tested. Also, 12 active cases have recovered. Curaçao now stands at 213 active cases.

Two persons are in the hospital, one local and one from Bonaire.

According to the epidemiology department of the 12 new cases, 2 of them returned to their country before the test results came in. 3 of them are linked to known cases and 7 are linked to unknown cases.

The epidemiology team will continue with its contact tracing efforts but asks everyone to stay safe and adhere to hygiene and social distancing rules. If there are any questions related to COVID-19, please call 9345 during office hours.
