COVID-19 Update: “27 new cases reported on October 8, 2020”

WILLEMSTAD - The government reports that there are 27 new COVID-19 cases. This result came after 193 people were tested. There are also 11 positive cases that have recovered.

Curaçao has now 250 active cases.

Of the 27, the government says, 1 is imported, 6 are linked to known cases and the other 20 were infected by unknown sources. The epidemiology department is continuing its contact tracing efforts to find out who the sources are.

There are currently 3 people in the CMC hospital. 2 are local and 1 from Bonaire.
