CPS boss diametrically opposed to importers

Main news | By Correspondent March 11, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Port Services (CPS) is not to blame for the slow handling of containers in the port. That's what CPS boss Fernando da Costa Gomez said. With this he is diametrically opposed to the importers and the Minister of Economic Development.

According to the container handler, the volume of incoming containers is unprecedented. For the first time in the history of CPS, the number of goods exceeds the busy month of December.

According to the CPS boss, the importers are hoarding. This makes it impossible to deliver the products directly. According to Da Costa Gomez, this delivery takes place within a reasonable period of time. Everyone gets their container within ten working days.
