WILLEMSTAD - The ninth edition of the largest volunteer action on Curaçao was launched again. On March 11 and 12, 2022, CURA DOET will pop again with its well-known motto "Dun'un man, gan'un kurason!" Curaçao Cares is organizing the CURA DOET initiative for the ninth time in a row, in collaboration with the Oranje Fonds. A national action in which everyone rolls up their sleeves in the third weekend of March to get social jobs done. Since its successful launch in 2014, every year social organizations (including community centers, schools, sports clubs, childcare centers, etc.) register jobs and receive a helping hand from thousands of volunteers for two days.
CURA DOET 2022 – “Together with each other!”
During the 9th edition of CURA DOET, in addition to the original motto "Dun'un man, gan'un kurason!" (Give a hand, win a heart), this year will also have the slogan "For each other with each other". With this the organization wants to emphasize what people can do for each other. With this in mind, the season kicked off this year with Scouting Group St. Antonius, Dash Foundation and Brigada di Seguridat i Formashon. Every year, the many thousands of volunteers and representatives of social organizations make beautiful memories with each other simply by 'doing good'.
