MIAMI, WILLEMSTAD - Chantal Wiertz, Miss Universe Curaçao 2020, won a place among the 21 most beautiful ladies in the world during the international Miss Universe pageant on Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, there was no place in the top 10 for the Curaçao-born beauty. The Miss Universe pageant was won by Miss Mexico. The pageant could be followed live on Curaçao television.
When Chantal Wiertz was elected to the group of 21 most beautiful women, Curaçaoans responded very enthusiastically on social media.
The best performance at a Miss Universe pageant by Curaçao so far was delivered in 1968 when Annemarie Braafheid took second place.
