WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Chamber of Commerce and Industry says Curaçao closed 2025 with positive economic results, marked by resilience, steady growth, and strong adaptability within the business community. In a message addressed to entrepreneurs, the Chamber expressed confidence about the outlook for 2026, pointing to tourism as a continued key driver of the local economy.

According to KVK Chairman Raoul Behr, the favorable economic developments are translating into increased business activity, job creation, and stable public finances. He noted that strong visitor numbers and expanding air connectivity have played an important role in supporting economic momentum, particularly within the tourism sector.

At the same time, Behr cautioned that external risks remain, including geopolitical tensions in the region that could have indirect effects on Curaçao’s economy. Against this backdrop, he emphasized the importance of flexibility and preparedness within the business sector.

The Chamber stressed that entrepreneurs should continue to invest in cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and mutual trust in order to strengthen the island’s economic resilience. “We hope to work together with the business community toward a resilient and future-proof economy, where opportunities and responsibilities go hand in hand,” the KVK stated.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Chamber underscored its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs as they navigate both opportunities and uncertainties, with the goal of sustaining balanced and inclusive economic growth for Curaçao.
