WILLEMSTAD - The Joint Court of Justice has joined the Global Judicial Integrity Network on January 1, 2022. This network falls under the supervision of the UN organization United Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The network aims to help judges around the world strengthen judicial integrity and prevent corruption.
The court in Curaçao will also function as a 'training site'. A few times a year, all judges and other Court employees will be offered a training program aimed at dealing with ethical dilemmas in the work of the judge.
“This step further fits in with the aim to strengthen and deepen integrity awareness,” said the Court. The court is the 74th training location of the worldwide network.
