It is not with the usual spectacle as is traditional in Curaçao. Normally this would go with the typical fanfare of colors and music. But due to COVID-19 and the measures, this year it is sober. Each party can only send three representatives to present the party list.

According to the SEC, today 26 parties will present their candidates. Earlier it was indicated that it would be 27.  but one party has already dropped out. According to the SEC, there could be more parties or less. This will be confirmed at the end of the day.

The parties that do not have representation in parliament will have to garner at least 800 signatures during the primaries that will be held on January 30 and 31.
