Curinde signs agreement with WFZO

DUBAI, WILLEMSTAD - The government announced this in a press release that the World Free Zones Organization (WFZO) will advise Curaçao’s Curinde on the possibilities of automation and robotization of logistics and industrial processes.

The agreement was signed during the visit of the Curaçao delegation to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Curaçao was in the picture for three days at the world exhibition that took place there. But Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas, Minister Ruisandro Cijntje of Economic Development and the other delegation members had a few interesting meetings on the closing day of the visit.

 

That started with a visit to the World Free Zones Organization, located in Dubai. Curinde director Jacqueline Jansen and WFZO director Samir Hamrouni signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). According to the press release, more than 3,000 free zones around the world have joined the umbrella body. WFZO ensures healthy competition, transparent regulations and helps members improve their activities and adopt technology and innovation. Curaçao Industrial Trade Development Company (Curinde) manages two free zones and an industrial park on Curaçao.
