Curinde wants modernization E-zone for more employment

WILLEMSTAD - Curinde wants to modernize and expand the Economic Zone. The organization recently gave a presentation to the Minister of Economic Development (MEO) Ruisandro Cijntje and the Minister of Social Development, Labor and Welfare (SOAW) Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia about the plans.  

 

 

During the meeting, the ministers were informed of the strategic direction Curinde wants to take to modernize the E-zone. Curinde wants to attract more business owners and create more employment, especially for young people.

 

According to the organization, it is very important that the law is adapted to international standards for this.  

 

In addition, Curinde has plans to turn Nieuwe Haven into an industrial area. There would be a lot of interest in places in the industrial park. Curinde states that the demand for workspaces is high because the industrial park at Brievengat is full.  

 

Minister Cijntje has been invited to the Europol Conference in Rome in October. According to the organization, this is a great opportunity for Curaçao to introduce itself to global brands.
