Main news | By Correspondent October 28, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - A delegation consisting of representatives of TNO, the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Van Oord and the VDL Groep is in Curaçao. The group has been interested in the island for some time and is investigating options for investments, especially in sustainable energy generation, options for developing the port and the application of innovative technologies in Curaçao.

The group's program is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development in Curaçao together with government company Refineria di Kòrsou (RdK).

The Representation of the Netherlands has organized a welcome meeting for the delegation and the Curaçao counterparts at the official residence of the Representative. The Curaçao Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas was also present. While enjoying a snack and drink, attendees could talk to each other. “It is an opportunity for both Curaçao and the business community in the Netherlands if a contribution can be made to connect relevant parties with each other, who want to work together and stimulate the economy in Curaçao,” says Erwin Arkenbout, the Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. He looks back on a pleasant evening.
