Main news | By Correspondent June 2, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Dutch Members of Parliament for the CU party Don Ceder and Mirjam Bikker want a response from the Dutch cabinet to the publications of the Groene Amsterdammer and Investico about the gambling sector in Curaçao.

The two MPs want the Dutch government to say what they think of the publications and whether they agree that there is no effective control and supervision of the online gambling sector in Curaçao. The pair also asks for more information about the position of the Netherlands in this regard and whether action is being taken.

“Was the cabinet aware of the current situation? If so, what position has the cabinet taken to date?” is also one of the questions asked by the CU MPs. The influence of Russia and Belarus on the gambling sector will be discussed further.

In addition, Ceder and Bikker want information about the state of supervision in the other (is) countries in the Kingdom, whether there are concerns and what action perspective the Dutch cabinet sees for itself.
