PARIS - Paris Saint-Germain has signed an agreement with the Curaçao online casino 1xBet. The controversial platform becomes the French football club's new regional partner in Asia and Africa. The agreement is valid for the next three seasons, reports CasinoNieuws.nl.

The agreement will raise eyebrows, according to the site. The online casino has been in the news a lot in recent months, and not always for positive reasons.
At the end of 2021, a judge in Curaçao declared the company behind the well-known gambling site 1xBet bankrupt. The judge came to this decision because 1xBet's parent company 1xCorp refused to refund players.
It also failed to appear during the trial. A few months later, however, it turned out that the verdict had been quashed by a higher court. The company was declared bankrupt in May, but the company and the website are still 'normal' active, according to CasinoNieuws.
The parent company of the site was also fined 400,000 euros by the Dutch Gaming Authority in 2019. More than two years later, it became clear that the company refused to pay the fine. 1xBet is no longer accessible to new Dutch players. In Belgium, 1xBet.com has been blacklisted since March 2017.
