WILLEMSTAD – Fundashon Marshe has announced the successful completion and auditing of its annual financial statements for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. The foundation described the achievement as a major milestone, accomplished within a relatively short period after the current management team took office in January 2025.

According to the organization, the completion of the audited accounts provides a solid foundation for the further development of Curaçao’s markets and public plazas. Fundashon Marshe said the process allows the organization to focus fully on shaping the modern market environment and preparing it for future growth.

For an extended period, Fundashon Marshe faced significant financial and organizational challenges, which made it difficult to manage its limited resources in a way that strengthened overall operations. The completion and submission of the audited accounts, the foundation said, demonstrate a strong commitment to transparency, good governance, and renewed determination to move forward.

Remy Ricardo, manager of Fundashon Marshe, stated that the organization is proud of the achievement and is now looking ahead to positive growth and the realization of strategic objectives set for 2025 and beyond. He acknowledged that 2025 presented major obstacles, including a serious fire in April that nearly destroyed all administrative documentation related to the audited years. Despite this setback, the foundation was able to reconstruct the records with patience and remain focused on its goals.

Ricardo expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and the foundation’s dedicated team for their support and efforts throughout the process. He said the continued trust and collaboration of partners is essential as Fundashon Marshe works toward a stronger future.

He also thanked the Supervisory Board, the Ministry of Economic Development, and the responsible minister for their continued confidence in Fundashon Marshe.

The foundation said it will continue to move forward with greater strength and transparency, positioning itself to better serve Curaçao’s entrepreneurs and preserve the island’s vibrant market culture.
