WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao government is going to take new corona measures in response to recent developments on the island. It is not yet clear when these measures will take effect and what type of measures will be implemented.

According to Prime Minister Pisas, his cabinet is in constant consultation with stakeholders to tackle the pandemic in an appropriate way and with the least possible impact on the economy. According to the prime minister, it is now clear that personal responsibility is only taken to a limited extent. For example, there was even fraud with tickets to enter parties. People forged covid test results to be able to enter certain events.

The measures may already be announced this week.
