WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Health, Nature and Environment announced recently that they are doing everything they can to prevent the coronavirus from spreading on Curaçao. This was announced by the Minister responsible for public health, Suzanne Camelia-Römer.

All authorities in tourism and international transport work together to monitor whether people with symptoms of the Coronavirus want to enter Curaçao, the ministry said. More than 42,000 people worldwide have already been infected and more than 1000 have died of the virus. By far the most in China.

The local Chinese association also informed that two Chinese families and a number of single people who returned to Curaçao from China earlier this month and have been placed under quarantine until today. They are in good health and have no signs of illness. The Association communicated with the Health Bureau supervisor that five of them would be released from medical isolation today, and the other three would be healthy and free to go tomorrow.

Those people were the ones who took the initiative to contact the Chinese organization and arranged the isolation measures. The association says that they will always show respect to them and all the overseas Chinese in Curaçao for their overall interests and sacrifice of 14 days in isolation.
