MIAMI, WILLEMSTAD - The Caribbean Weather Center (CWC) expects more rainfall and thunderstorms in the coming days. The unstable and humid conditions of the weekend will continue into the week, the Center reports.
The CWC predicts heavy showers, especially on Tuesday. The bad weather is caused by the combination of successive tropical waves in the region and the presence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
The air in this zone has high temperatures and is very unstable. This heat results in low air pressure and high humidity.
The CWC warns that the rain showers could be accompanied by thunderstorms and strong wind gusts.
