WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) offers 20,000 guilders reward for the tip that leads to the arrest of the suspects who stole cocaine from the Rio Canario police station on the night of 13 to 14 October 2018.
The drugs - reportedly 600 kilos - had previously been seized by the police. Perpetrators managed to force two large metal doors to get to the drug. At the time, the OM denied reports that money and firearms were also stolen. As part of the investigation, a burnt-out truck was seized that may have been used in the robbery.
The OM says that the police need the help of the community in search of the perpetrators. The OM wants to come into contact with people who can provide crucial information.
Despite the progress made in the investigation, the investigation team is looking for more information about a number of those involved in order to be able to successfully conclude the investigation and to be able to arrest the right suspects and bring them to a criminal court.
To resolve this case, the OM has decided to offer an unusually high reward of up to 20,000 guilders," said the OM.
People with information that will lead to the arrest of suspects and / or clients of this, as the Public Prosecution Service calls it "very serious, brutal drug robbery", are requested to contact the police.
