WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Hotel and Tourism Association (CHATA) is optimistic about the booking figures for July and August. According to CHATA director Maria-Helena Seferina-Rojas, the figures are even close to those before the global corona pandemic.
The hospitality sector is happy with the interest, which mainly comes from the Netherlands, but more and more Americans are also coming this way. In addition, many Brazilians travel to Curaçao, but this is mainly because they hope to be able to travel to the U.S. after quarantine on the island to receive a corona vaccination there, according to Seferina-Rojas.
