WILLEMSTAD - The newly started refinery is still inoperative after Monday's blackout.
Then a transformer house of the Curaçao Refinery Utilities (CRU), the power plant of the Isla, exploded. Aqualectra disconnected its network almost immediately but will now reconnect to supply power to the refinery.
How long that takes is not known.
