THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - The Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops postpones the discussion about the Dispute Resolution Scheme for three years.
The Council of State had objected to the proposal of the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament because of its own role, but that can also be discussed if the Kingdom Act is to be evaluated.
The Dutch cabinet maintains the role of the Council of State in disputes about the Statute. The Council can only give advice, the Kingdom Government has the last word and makes the decisions.
