WILLEMSTAD - Economic Development Minister Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia wants more information from the small apartment and car rental sector. The minister wants to know more about the role that CASHA plays for employment in the tourism sector.

A delegation of the CASHA board had an introductory meeting with Larmonie-Cecilia on Monday. The purpose of the visit was to get to know each other to find out what CASHA's goals are and what are the pending cases.

"The minister was very interested and particularly the important role that CASHA has in terms of employment in tourism. Partly because of this, our interest organization would be involved in the discussions about a quality mark: quality within the sector, Level Playing Field and to can join the board of the CTA, the new CTB," said the Casha board.

For this, according to CASHA, it is important that Larmonie-Cecilia gets a picture of the members of the interest group. By means of a confidentiality form, the members must indicate what type of business they conduct, the number of employees working and for the accommodations it is important that they indicate how many apartments, studios and holiday homes they rent out with the number of beds.

"The minister only receives a total figure without details of the requested data and that is processed internally and sent to the minister," CASHA said.
