MFK and PNP sign final agreement to form new government

WILLEMSTAD - The two biggest winners of the election, the MFK and the PNP have just signed the final agreement to form a new government for Curaçao with Gilmar Pisas as the Prime Minister.

The division of ministries is also known; this would be three for the PNP and six for the MFK.

MFK will be responsible for the Ministries of General Affairs (Prime Minister), Finance, Justice, Traffic/Transport/Urban Planning, Health/Environment/Nature, and Education/Science/Culture/Sports.

PNP will be responsible for the Ministries of Economic Development, Government Policy/Planning/Public Service, Social Development/Labor/Welfare.

MFK will also get the President of Parliament and PNP the Vice President.

MFK will appoint both the Minister Plenipotentiary and the Vice Minister Plenipotentiary in the Hague.

PNP appoints the Minister Plenipotentiary in Washington, U.S.A.

Both parties have already appointed their candidate ministers, but these have to go through the screening process first.
