WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao elections have come to an end and the Supreme Electoral Council has announced the winner. With 23,559 votes, the opposition party MFK becomes now the largest party on the island. The MFK is followed by the current ruling party PAR with 11,778 votes which gives them 4 seats. PAR went from 6 to 4 seats in parliament.
The third party is also a big surprise. The PNP party of former Minister of Social Development, Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia led her party from 0 to 4 seats.
Coalition party MAN went from 5 seats to 2.
New parties KEM and Trabou pa Korsou both received 1 seat.
