WILLEMSTAD - According to Cooper himself, the rumors that Minister Charles Cooper of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP) would be involved in the sale of FKP social houses in the Rif area are not true. The minister stated this in a press release.

According to reports circulating on social media, social housing foundation FKP would sell the houses in Rif via hire-purchase to a private company. Subsequently, the homes would be refurbished together with Corendon.

The government press release states that Cooper has seen the social media posts with disgust. The minister states that the government has no control over the homes in the Rif. The management agreement with FKP only applies to social rental homes.

The minister also denies that the resignation of the FKP Supervisory Board has anything to do with the deal.
