WILLEMSTAD - Following the statements issued by DC-ANSP and the Civil Aviation Authority of Curaçao (CCAA), I would like to reaffirm that Curaçao remains a safe and welcoming destination for travelers and international partners.
As Minister of Economic Development, with tourism under my portfolio, I wish to personally reassure travelers and our international partners that Curaçao operates fully in accordance with international aviation safety standards. Our island works closely with airport authorities, airline partners, and international aviation institutions to ensure that all air traffic to and from Curaçao remains safe, reliable, and uninterrupted.
In addition, I remain in close consultation with our key tourism stakeholders, including the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA), to ensure clear alignment, timely information sharing, and coordinated communication toward our international markets and visitors.
There are no safety concerns affecting Curaçao’s airspace or airport operations. Any reported aviation-related incidents within the Curaçao Flight Information Region (FIR) are handled in accordance with established international procedures and are continuously monitored by the competent authorities.
The safety and well-being of our visitors is a responsibility I take extremely seriously. Together with our aviation partners, CTB, CHATA, and other stakeholders, I remain fully committed to safeguarding a secure, stable, and enjoyable travel experience for everyone visiting Curaçao.
Curaçao warmly welcomes visitors from around the world and looks forward to receiving you with the hospitality, stability, and care for which our island is known.
