WILLEMSTAD - It has been proven that by not vaccinating you end up in the hospital sooner. That is now clear when you look at the numbers in the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC). This was stated by the Minister of Public Health Dr. Dorothy Pietersz-Janga said a televised interview at a popular TV station on the island.
The minister emphasized that she supports the policy as she has previously indicated even though she did not want to answer the question posed by a reported about her position on vaccination. She indicated back then that it was a private matter for everyone and that she would not disclose if the was vaccinated or not.
Pietersz-Janga also discussed her concerns about the lack of financial resources to tackle the current wave of infections and the financial situation of the hospital. Her ministry is discussing this with the Ministry of Finance.
