"More independent experts needed in technical briefing"

Main news | By Correspondent July 6, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The first day of the technical briefings on the Top Income standards in parliament started on Tuesday. Although many top officials agreed with the standardization, the exact interpretation was criticized.

Neysa Isenia, financial director of Aqualectra, proposed at the end of the briefing to also invite independent experts. She mentioned lawyers, actuaries and business experts as an example in order to get a broader picture.

Curoil Director Yamil Lasten informed parliament that top officials were demonized by the situation, while they agree with the standardization. Lasten did criticize the realization of the law, the content that does not correspond to the collective labor agreement and the brain drain that would be accompanied by it.
