OM demands community service against Alcalá-Wallé

Main news | By Correspondent February 19, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has demanded 150 hours of community service this morning against former Education Minister Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé.

In addition, the Public Prosecution Service asks for a suspended sentence of three months and a probationary period of two years. This morning the substantive handling of the criminal case against the politician was planned.

Alcalá-Wallé is suspected of hiding her ancillary positions in May 2017, when she was a candidate minister.

Nor would she have disclosed her assets. She had three different bank accounts at the time.

Alcalá-Wallé stepped down as minister at the end of January last year, because she had been identified as a suspect in a criminal investigation.
