WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 620 people who were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 1 of them resulted positive: a positivity rate of 1.6%. 48 active cases have recovered. This brings the number of active infections to 241.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC): 41 people are in the hospital. 25 of them are in the intensive care unit. 2 of the 3 people from Curaçao who were in the Aruban hospital have returned and are in the intensive care unit in the CMC. The hope is that the 3rd one will return tomorrow. They are all in the intensive care unit.
Unfortunately, 2 have died making the total now 113 deaths. Both have died in nursing homes.
