Pisas discusses investment opportunities with Al Habtoor Group

DUBAI, WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas paid a visit to the headquarters of the Al Habtoor Group today. He was received by Mohammed Al Habtoor. The duo discussed investment opportunities in Curaçao, among other things.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Netherlands and the rest of the delegation. A range of topics of common interest were discussed during the visit. The Al Habtoor Group was founded in 1970. It started as a small engineering company and has now grown into one of the largest conglomerates in the region with interests in the hospitality, automotive, real estate, education and publishing sectors.

Pisas is now in the Middle East to participate in Expo Dubai 2020 to explore investment opportunities from the Arab Emirates. The Minister of Economic Development, Ruisandro Cijntje, is also part of the delegation.

 

Expo 2020 Dubai is the largest expo in the world where countries can show themselves with the best offers. The theme is energy, water, food, environment and nature. The Curaçao delegation arrived on Saturday and will remain until March 31.
