WILLEMSTAD - Curacao has signed an Air Service Agreement with Portugal. That means that Portuguese aviation companies may land on Hato and vice versa, that Curacao companies may call at Lisbon.
Although there are no concrete plans for the arrival of Portuguese airlines, the government wants to create as much airlift as possible for tourism on the island.
The Portuguese airline TAP sometimes lands on Hato, to change crew. For safety reasons, they cannot always spend the night in Caracas. But passengers were not allowed to board or disembark until now.
