WILLEMSTAD - Whether there is a trend, epidemiologist Izzy Gerstenbluth cannot yet say, but it is, in any case, the good news that there have been few infections again today. This is according to Dr. Gerstenbluth said during today’s briefing on COVID-19 cases in Curaçao. Eight new cases are reported today. Yesterday there were seven.
150 people were tested and eight people recovered from the virus. The number of active infections, therefore, remains at 292, the same as yesterday.
Six of the eight new infections can be linked to existing cases. The source of the two cases is still unknown. The Epidemiology department conducts contact tracing to find out how the infection came about in all cases.
There are currently five active infections on Bonaire and 256 on Aruba.
