WILLEMSTAD - Anyone wishing to vote on March 19 must be registered in Kranshi by December 22 at the latest. Otherwise they will not receive a voting card.
They must also have the Dutch Nationality and have turned eighteen before March 19th.
This is reported by the now independent Chief Electoral Office, which organizes the elections.
From January 21, the electoral lists with the names of the candidates can be submitted. Parties that are not currently represented in Parliament must also obtain 788 signatures to register.
That number is one percent of the election turnout of April 28, 2017, when 78,830 votes were cast.
The lists can actually be submitted on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January. That always goes with a lot of show but it is not sure this will be the case due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
